After trying to read through everything this weekend here are the questions that I have so far:
Tau rule questions
1. What are the fonts used?
2. Could I have a copy of the artwork used on the title page for the title of this document?
Just the one that says: Starquest Assalto Tau
That way I can put the English text on it.
3. Each unit in the main game have a commander that is not wearing a helmet, while the rest of the unit is wearing them. Should the tau
miniatures in this unit have the same look? The minis I found would have this same look or there are extra heads without helmets so the unit could
be mixed up more, but I was not sure what you had in mind for this unit's look.
4. On page 3, the last sentence in the paragraph under the Tau stats translates to:
This allows them to strike above theirs category, thanks
to durable armor, high-powered weapons and laser targeting systems that improve the
chances of hitting the target.
But the wording does not sound right to me, what should it say?
5. On page 4 under the heading "Il Fucile ad Impulsi" the last sentence in the paragraph translates to:
The Tau make extensive use of artificial intelligence in their technology, in each mission can therefore optionally employ a Drone extremely fast,
thanks to its anti-grav motors, as a support unit.
After the first coma the wording does not sound right to me, what should it say?
6. On page 4 under the heading "La Carabina ad Impulsi" the last sentence in the paragraph translates to:
A of these could be removed, provided there are enough stitches left.
But the wording does not sound right to me, what should it say?
7. On page 4 under the heading "Drone con doppia Carabina ad Impulsi" the paragraph says that A Team of 4 Warriors and a Shas'Ui can be
supported by a Drone armed with a double Carbine, it can fire with the values of a Pulse Carbine. Does this mean the Drone has two separate
guns to fire using the Pulse Carbine stats? Or does the fact that you get to re-roll a die to improve the result, count as the double action of the
Drone's double Carbine and no matter what the answer is because it has the stats of the Pulse Carbine does the resulting firing of the weapon
get split against two targets in the line of fire?
8. Based on question eight above, as far as minis would go I would need the five Tau minis and a Drone mini right? Are there any other minis
I would need as a Tau player?
9. On page 5 under the heading "Abbordando uno Scafo Spaziale" should the first sentence read:
A. Thanks to their advanced technology, the Warrior Teams are able to enter and exit Space Hulks thanks to a support vehicle of the Imperial
Tau Fleet, led by members of the Air Caste.
or
B. Thanks to their advanced technology, the Warrior Teams are capable of entering and exiting the Space Hulks thanks to a support vehicle of the
Imperial Tau Fleet, led by members of the Air Caste.
10. Just wondering for myself is this support vehicle more like the Transportation rings from the Star Gate movie and Tv Show?
https://stargate.fandom.com/wiki/Transportation_rings11. On page 5 under the heading "Abbordando uno Scafo Spaziale" should the last paragraph read:
To get to safety and exit the Space Hulk, the Tau units must return to their starting area. The tile does not block line of sight or line of fire,
but it cannot be crossed by other units. Also why are there two of these if you the Tau enter and exit on the same one?
12. On page 6 under the stats for the Shas'Ui, there is a small paragraph should it read:
A. As they progress in terms of recognition, the Shas'Ui increase the number of assets and equipment available for your team, according
to the following table of recognition levels.
or
B. As they progress in experience, the Shas'Ui increase the number of orders and equipment available for their team, according
to the following table of experience levels.
13. On page 6 under the stats for the Shas'Ui, there is a chart for Equipment Cards and Order Cards. What do the letters to the left of this chart
mean? They are:
LA
UI
VRE
EL
O
14. On page 6 under the chart mentioned above in question 13, when I read the paragraph because of wording I don't understand what it
should say or what it is trying to explain? Here is what I have though:
Before a new mission, each Warrior can be equipped with a Pulse Rifle or Pulse Carbine.
Each Warrior equipped with a pulse weapon is rated 7 points for Combat Efficiency Table for both the Alien and, in negative, the Tau player.
A Drone armed with a Pulse Carbine is worth 7 points, while a Shas'Ui 10 points.
In Tau Assault, the Alien will use the Combat Efficiency Table of the base game Space Crusade.
15. On page 7 when I read the opening paragraph on that page I don't understand what it should say or what it is trying to explain? Also could you
explain the chart under this paragraph better? Here is what I have though:
To reward the Tau Player who managed to stay alive for several consecutive missions your Shas'Ui even without advancing a level, units with
improved characteristics compared to those can be introduced of departure. For each mission completed, after the third, with the same Shas'Ui,
the Tau player gets the chance to hire Warriors and Drones that possess special abilities.
There are three types of skills: basic, intermediate and advanced, each with different scores
(+1, +2, +3 to the TEC score) and the Tau Player can choose whether to assign them to different units or when he has more than one available
entrust more than one to a single unit. From the beginning of the fourth mission, the Tau Player can select the first two basic skills to acquire and
can freely assign them to the units that make up his squad, stationary subject to the following constraints:
- to each mission it survives, the Shas'Ui can add abilities of higher grade than the previous one;
- a unit can have a maximum of three skills (or abilities);
- skills are divided into categories corresponding to the type of unit;
- each skill can be used a maximum of once per turn, except exceptions allowed by Order cards.
As you can see from these questions most of the questions I have are about wording. I still think it would be easier for all for me to just add the text documents here and let you read them so you guys can read what I have and make suggestions on the wording. Then if I find I have other questions I can just ask those. Then I could apply that text to the cards for example.
Can anyone tell me the best way to get the text document to you guys?
